About Us

Starting with my father and continuing with me for over 30 years. Sylvan Hill Labradors has kept our main focus, providing families with well bred
Labrador Retrievers puppies and dogs. All of our breeding dogs are family pets and are treated like family members. All our breeding dogs have been evaluated for temperament as well as overall appearance and structure. Evaluations are conducted by done by our professional handlers and me. This is to make sure they are worthy of breeding. Not all dogs have the breeding qualities we seek. We believe all of our breeding dogs should be show quality because we always want to better the breed.
Once we decide they are going to be part of our breeding program. We
require health testing this includes:
- Genetic Testing
- OFA X Rays of hips and elbows.
- Cardiologist and Ophthalmologist yearly as required by AKC ( American Kennell Club)
Once we complete all the health testing required for the breed. We carefully select the best stud that will produce the best quality puppies.
After the puppies are born, they receive 24-hour care from myself and our family.
They are raised in our home. All puppies are dewormed at 4,6 and 8 weeks. They also receive a full physical by our family veterinarian. After this, we evaluate to decide which dogs are show quality with the best temperament. We usually try to keep one show quality puppy from each litter. We then train that puppy compete in conformation or any other training we decide for that specific dog.
Once you are ready to pick up your puppy, we will pair the best puppy with your family.
Your Sylvan Hill Labradors Puppy will receive lifelong customer support with training, tips and any advice needed.
